Embody Yoga’s Roots 300hr Teacher Training
Tina will share her transition from being a regional manager of yoga for a large fitness corporation to what led her to leave the health and wellness industry and focus on decolonizing her personal yoga practice, and how that led to the creation of her antiracism + yoga trips that she has been leading in Montgomery, AL, since 2018. Tina will share her personal strategies that integrate business, leadership, yoga with social justice, personal transformation and healing and will guide students to craft their own embodied retreats.

This convening will act as a platform for the participants to discuss white saviorism in conservation & environmentalism, capitalism, colonialism & the urge to control reproduction, and the question is there a role for white people in support of Black/Brown/Indigenous liberation? Day 2 is reserved for the Black community and will focus on Black leadership in social justice movements and internalized oppression.
